DJ Colter has been an American Family Insurance agent since 2004, serving clients across AZ, CA, CO, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, MN, MO, MT, NE, NC, ND, OH, OK, SD, TX, and WI. With a Master’s in Educational Leadership and a background as a middle school teacher and coach, DJ brings a passion for education and community service to his work. He is deeply involved in organizations such as the YMCA, Chamber of Commerce, Realtors’ Association, Homebuilders’ Association, Emergency Food Pantry, Valley Christian Counseling, Athletes in Action, CRU, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, FM Powerlunch, YoungLife, Horace Booster Club, and Horace Lions Club.

A resident of Horace, ND since 2003, DJ is married to Jennifer and is a proud father of three daughters: Kennedy, Harper, and McKenna. An entrepreneur at heart, DJ has owned several businesses and manages multiple rental properties. He enjoys spending time outdoors with family and friends at Lake Sallie Cabin, as well as hunting, fishing, golfing, surfing, pontooning, swimming, hiking, lifting weights, traveling, attending concerts, and sporting events.
